|hannahuffster||Yeah coils are sweet, but coils = $big$. For the money I will keep my leafs. Top notch rig tho!|
|06-11-2010 03:12 AM|
|Vaultzz||Wow, ya gotta love the coils. I'm not sayin that I'd trade my leafs in for them in a heart beat but ya know I'd trade my leafs for them in a heart beat|

New poser shot:
Front still has about 4" that it can drop and the rear is pretty much flat in that pic. Could have lotza more flex if the rear flexed too

Only other main "change" is that I'd like to drop a LS engine in it at some point so I can open the hood and see "Corvette." Just about everything else is complete.

|blkrubi88||What other plans do you have for the beast?|

To that, after I finish this round of mods, the next thing will be to drop a LS in there. I wanna open the hood and see "Corvette"
Hard part there is gonna be convincing the wife to let me do it

I was wondering how you would take that comment.

Wow, from the looks of your Jeep, I thought you did that for a living, I can only imagine what that thing would look like if you actually knew what you were doing! Keep up the good work and the pics!

|cavediverjc||I keep finding myself coming back to this thread, just for the pics!!|
|05-19-2010 07:45 PM|
|nyvulcanman||for doing everything yourself that rig looks great you did a very good job with it|
|05-19-2010 06:28 PM|
Hard part is that I'm a computer security guy by trade...this was the first time I've done any body work, first time I opened an axle, had never mounted tires before, knew nothing about suspension, etc.
This rig is turning out to be the epitome of "be sure and do your research." However, that is the best part! I've had to research and figure EVERYTHING out myself...especially since I did all the work in my driveway over the last 2 years

|Indy||Awesome looking rig man!! Can't wait to see pictures of it flexing.|

Next round -- 35x12.5's with 4.5" RE long arm -- February '07:
Latest round -- 41x14.5's with ?? custom lift -- May '10:

|abw0004||Do you have any before pictures?? Or has it always looked like this?|
|05-18-2010 09:01 AM|
|jgano23||awesome rig. it's come a long way.|
|05-18-2010 03:14 AM|

|Ageless Stranger||That is simply amazing.|
|05-18-2010 02:29 AM|
|Rawkon||awesome looking rig man! the steering will always feel funny, full hydro is nothing like a typical steering sytem, the hardest thing to get use too is the wheel not self centering. get some pics when you start beating on it!!! way cool rig|

After that I'll likely go to a local ranch for a day run. Easy to moderate trails to stretch its legs a bit.
Hardest part that I'm already starting to think about is the width. Outside edge to outside edge of the front tires is a whopping 89"! I think I'm going to have to get creative to get around and thru stuff...
|05-17-2010 10:25 PM|
|jpdocdave||holy full width axles, haha, just messing with ya. that thing is beastly, and built. nice work, where are you planning on taking it for a maiden run?|
