Coyote_94YJ GAFahy, you will need to get some soft top hardware(if you don't already have it) to bolt onto your jeep before you can put those parts on your jeep. You'll need the top rail that goes on top of the windshield frame to put the bikini top on and you'll need the side rails and all the rear hardware installed before you can put on the duster. I had the bikini and duster on my yj for a while and liked it. I never got the windjammer piece to go with it but I liked the setup. It wasn't a bother for me to get in the back when I needed to. I just pulled the sides of and undid the front two straps and flung it over the back of the jeep leaving the rear part still attached to the jeep, or vise-versa.

Here is what mine looked like stock and modified. My duster was designed to have the soft top frame still on the jeep but they also make them that fit with the soft top frame removed.

mrcarcrazy I have the duster, windjammer, bikini setup on my jeep right now.

I can take some pics if you'd like....its not any harder to get into the back than it is with the soft top on...

andreafahy01 Nice ride and good information. For now I want a more flexible option, so I'm going to do what my Dad has done in the back of his pick up (aside from his huge tool locker) He put one of these storage lugs in, locked with a cable and lock. Water stays out and I can use it or not use it, no big hassle. It will be a quick under $20 setup for now, need to do something b/c my toolbox has flooded from rain once already and my jeep catalogs got ruined too!

would be a great idea!

erickpl I can be a hassle unless you peel back the duster, go at it from the front seats or open the rear hatch. It does not lift up easily - it tucks under the tub rail.

Here is my TJ with a duster.

I'm stripping my YJ down of all the excess and researching my weather proofing choices. I'm pretty set on a Bestop bikini. I thought I'd get a water proof bin for the back to toss my stuff in. This would be adequate for me for quite a number of months. I'm now thinking ahead to the colder months, because I don't know that I ever want to use my hard top again! SOmetimes in the middle of winter we'll have an 80 degree day and it is super to go summer style when that hits!

Soo.... I see the Bestop kits that have the bikini, duster and windjammer set (plus it's on sale with Quadratec right now!) I'd likely be happy with this through most of the winter as I'm accustomed to being cold, bundling up, etc. I don't require full protection from the weather, for my comfort.

Question about the duster - once you put it on, is it a hassle to get into the storage space underneath? Do you go through the tailgate or does is quicly and easily lift up at the top somewhere? I keep my spare in the back so that takes up a lot of space and I tend to stuff my things in all around it. Does anyone have pics of their Jeep using the duster or a tonneau?
