austin1869 Ok, Battery went bad the other day and I had to replace it. Haven't had a problem with the temp guage since. However my oil pressure guage is not working now. Any ideas on trouble shooting?

austin1869 Ok, sometimes it will work sometimes it won't. I got ready to ride down to the beach the other day and it started working fine. then about half way there it quit. then while I was on the beach it started working again. So I guess it is a random problem. I would assume a loose wire.

I haven't had time this week to mess with it but I changed a sensor the other day that had 2 wires coming out of it on the side of the intake near the back. I will try to look for a sensor with a white wire tomorrow after I get off work.

MikeMTJ It's a white little dongle lookin' thing with a wire coming out of it....if that helps at all? Takes a minute or two to replace.

Abomination93 the sender for the temp guage is on the back of the head/intake near the fire wall its a single wire sensor.

Help!!! Temp guage stopped working.

I hooked up off road lights yesterday and in the process screwed something up. My temperature gauge doesn't work now. I thought I unplugged a wire but couldn't find where it plugged in so I went on. It is a Purple wire with a white stripe and a Black wire that come out of the harness and go to a plug. I looked at the wiring diagram in the Chilton and found that a purple wire off the back of the thermostat goes to the temperature sending unit but I can't find anything that tells me where a temperature sending unit might be located. I have searched everywhere and can't find anywhere this wire could possibly plug in. Am I crazy? It could be that I messed something else up and this wire goes to something totally different but I have no idea. any help would be greatly appreciated.
