|kdukes4||ya i've seen this pick up on a write up. that was my intented position, but that original hole already has my bolt from the tow hitch in it. i was thinkin about adding some washers to even out the height for the second bolt and then place it in that same position the photo shows. but decided to just bolt it through the hitch mount instead. I'm just gonna hope i don't get myself stuck in a bad spot.|

This is the rear tow hook location I recommend. One of the two bolt holes already exists on the frame so you just need to drill one more. The washers and nuts are inserted up inside the frame through a slot that is already underneath the frame.
Don't drill all the way through the frame, the washers and nuts need to be inside. Drilling all the way through the frame and placing the nuts on the other side would start a slow inward collapse of the frame & cause a need to continually be retightening them.

|kdukes4||hey all. I just picked up a tow hook and forgot about my tow hitch. you can just bolt the tow hook onto the side of the hitch right?(the side that has the mouting hole that attaches to the frame) that's pretty strong steel. and if you're only gonna be towed out once in a blue moon, why not.|

|ugwrestling8||Get a tow hook to go into your reciver hitch. you can get one at northern tool for $20 or $40 depending on which style you choose. Google norther tool and equipment.|

|Spartan302||If you already have a reciever you can put your tow strap in the reciever and put the pin through. Or you can go the warn route with the shackle.|

|dlporter||I would just go with the Warn reciever shackle bracket. It is removable, and it runs about $40.|

|4Jeepn||You should be able to find a hook that will mount inside the receiver. I think warn makes one. or there is one that you can use that attaches to D-ring. As for the frame mount you may just need some longer bolts to make up for the depth of the receiver mount.|

Rear tow hook
Does anyone know if a rear tow hook will fit if I already have a receiver hitch installed?
