badrubi03 u could do it. i am currently running 4" of total lift and have 36x14.50s on my rubi. but goin down to 35's cuz u cant buy swampers right now, was gonna run the 12.50s but goin with 35's and 6". it can be done but u will tear some stuff up. fenders, flares, u name it.

distortedtj I 2nd the 4.88's with your AX-15 transmission and 35/36'' tire. Exspecially wide as you are wanting. You will have 5th then.

spyjeep0520 thanks for the info right now im running 3.73 with 33s and its good until 5th overpasses and bridges are an automatic downshift to maintain hwy speeds its silly sluggish in 5th acceleration 1-3 is great so i donno i have a small trailer i haul my four wheeler and lawn mower with and i cant get outta 4th on hwy and i dont really want that this time

4Jeepn I ran 35 with about 6 inches in the front and standard 4.5 in the back. Adjust your bump stops and you should be okay. You might want to go with 4.88's, I had 4.56's and it was good, but I think 4.88 would be better with the 5 spd. I also ran dual 60's.

spyjeep0520 i plan to go with dana 60 rear and dana 44 front got them both have to cut em down and put brackets but i want to run like a 4.56 gear and ox lockers in both so i have to wait a while i cant afford the lockers, brackets, gears, and time to do it all yet

distortedtj Yes but all depends on wheel backspacing and bumpstops for tire clearance.

Also with your axles and gearing to push the tires. With 35's and bigger you need to regear and upgrade the factory 97rear D35 to a larger axle. Also with 35's and larger you should upgrade the steering and brakes.

4inch suspension 2 inch body 36 inch tires?

i have a 97 tj with 4 inch suspension and 2 inch body lifts wondering if i could put 35 15.50 or 36 inch tires and not rub any clues tips or ideas please let me know
