|CapptainObvious||^^Those are the exact same ones I have. Do you like them vertical like that? I keep mine horizontal. Also painted mine black and made a bracket to put them in the windshield. Doesn't that kind of limit your visibility into the other lanes?|

I suppose I should also note that these are Harley long stem mirrors. My bad, sorry!!!!!!!!

|G-Pur||I've got the harley mirrors. They don't vibrate, and they're black, so what else could you want? They're the same as these, but I turned mine vertical because I'm just used to the vert Jeep mirror.|

|The Budd||I bought 2 Schwin bicycle mirrors at my local Canadian Tire store for $5 each. they mounted fine on the empty hinges. The passenger side one had to go on the bottom hinge. Some tricky adjusting to get it angled right but they work just fine.|

Drivers side is great, passenger side is almost useless however it worked for me. Not to mention I just toss it in the center counsel when not using it. =)

I just bought and installed these on my 07--they were under 20 bucks for the pair and work great for me--I have a thread about them with pics on my jeep--I bought the black ones in the link
motorcycle mirrors, Kawasaki motorcycle mirrors, Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Victory motorcycle mirrors

Thanks for the part number on the mirrors

|Hexxum||Just because they haven't pulled you over yet, doesn't mean you won't experience a cop on a bad day. I'd rather pay $50 bucks now for the mirrors than the chance at the cost of a ticket AND then have to buy mirrors.|

The law is fairly open. As long as you have a rear view mirror; side mirrors are not a hard requirement.
Kind of like the window tint law. As long as you have side mirrors you can basically paint your rear and side rear windows black if you want. Not the driver \ passenger windows but all the back windows
I also live in the Houston area and none of the police agencies seem to care much. Local police, County sheriffs, State police HWY and \ or the Texas Rangers
Texas has more levels of law enforcement to keep track of it is crazy to keep track. but none have ever pulled me over for no doors \ side mirrors

|Hexxum||I have the Olympic Safari mirrors, and even though they vibrate a good deal, it's still better than the look of the Harley mirror. I personally enjoy the wider view of the Safari mirror, and it just looks better on the Jeep. Most states require that you only have 1 mirror on the driver's side. If cost is an issue, buy a set and sell half of it to a Jeep buddy.|

I know its in here some where..........but does any one have the part number for the Harley mirrors. I have 2008 wrangler 2-dr.

I thought Harley mirrors only vibrated when they were attached to an actual Harley
(ex XR1000 owner - great bike !!)

Here's the link to the bracket I did if it interests you at all.

|drivebytruckerz||I did the re-location brackets and I regret it. They're about to come off as soon as I can order some harley mirrors.|

I use the safari mirrors with a round convex added to the top inside corner. This lets me see what's next to me. I do use them a good bit but I used to drive a truck and those mirrors vibrated a bunch.
Backing with my mirrors is no problem - they are big enough to give you a good picture.

I went with the Harley mirrors.
When I got my soft doors, I couldn't put the mirrors in the hinge anymore, so I fabricated a bracket mount for the harley mirrors. I'm gonna try and get pics up tonight if I can in a new thread. I'll post a link on here if I do.

|06-28-2010 10:23 AM|
|clear lake jeepn||My personal opinion is the Harley mirrors look like caca! THey just look ridiculous to me. I have been runnning doorless/mirrorless for quite awhile...the cops around the houston area don't seem to really give a flying @#@$@#$@&. I am so used to being mirrorless for so long that even when the doors are ON..I still look back and check.|

If you're going to use the Harley mirrors to read a newspaper behind you, you may want a different mirror.
There is some vibration, but short of reading someones license plate, it works just fine.

|ZBoater||My vote is for the Lange 2. They attach to the windshield brackets and leave the hinges alone.|

|jayc||Are you looking to actually USE the mirrors or just putting them on to stay "legal"? Just stick your head out the door and look behind you. LOL I think it's which ever looks better.|

Olympic Safari mirrors or Harley mirrors?
I am looking to get some mirrors that I can use when I have my doors off. I prefer the look of the Olympic Safari mirrors, but all of the reviews say the vibrate too much.
Do the Harley mirrors vibrate a lot as well? I am more using them to be street legal, but if the Harley mirrors are a better 'fit', then I would prefer to go that route.
Anyone have experience with either?
