Yea dust shields suck... they capture every little rock and debris if wheeling in mud/water and make little noises as well, that's why I removed mine years ago when replacing the hub assembly. Makes for easier clean-up of the brakes after wheeling in mud as well.

|4Jeepn||I would also check the dust shield near the brakes.. sometimes it gets bent and makes contact with the rotor. Look likes metal dinner plate.|

Don't turn left? 3 rights=1 left.
Could be unit bearings too. Check for wheel play.

No need to remove the rotors... you should be able to see and physically put your hands on the u-joints to see if there's excessive play in them.
Jack the front end off the ground and spin tires by hand to see if you can hear and see where the noise is coming from.

|BigSahara||Look at the u-joints inside the wheel knuckle. I had the same problem and it turned out that my larger diam. tires destroyed the joints. I only heard the sound when I turned.|

Metal to Metal noise while turning left..
The past month or so I have been hearing this metal to metal schreeching noise whenever I turn my steering wheel left...
Also, whenever I take my foot of the brakes, it makes a squeeking noise... Likes it's sticking almost.
I will TRY and get a video of them both, but maybe not.
Any thoughts on both?
