Gne Found this on the web.

"Do NOT stray from the roadways. Aside from the obvious pitfalls, such as getting lost, these forests are environmentally and historically sensitive; you may inadvertently damage or kill plants or animals, or destroy historical artifacts. Stop at one of the forest offices, either at Batsto or Atsion, and pick up a brochure with a basic map of the sand roads, natural areas, campgrounds, etc."

Once we get the old Tracker running good I'll be going. April - October. Lots and lots of mudding to be had. Sometimes I'm not sure if the tracker will make it. Lol.

joeyzac45 Wow that's awesome! Def can't say I've seen anything like that out there before. I rode stock out there several times with no issue and plenty of other folks do as well, upgrades don't hurt either

Thanks for sharing!!!! As much as I'd love to take it out and get it muddy I might wait until it's lifted. Don't laugh, I have a 97' geo tracker that I take in Wharton all summer long. Outlived a few jeeps on our rides. Just don't expect it to pull you out. Lol!!!

Gne The pines are the best!!! Lots of deep mud! There are also maintained dirt roads. I do believe you can pick up a trail map at atsion on rt. 206.
