wasurfer86 how much do you want to lift it? whats the tire size you want? are you gonna be using it off road all the time? the reason i ask is because it sounds like you really wanna lift it but dont have the money right now to do it exactly how you want it. dont waste your money on a lift and some tires that are ok, get the ones that you want later. put off the lift and tires for a little bit and look into bumpers, a winch, fender flares, swing away tire carrier...

EdJonesJeeper Yea you'll be fine. I ran 31x10.50's stock for years with minor front control arm scrubbing.

pakman55 is 2" good enough for 32's?

doclouie Go with #4 less the body lift, but only put 32" tires on. It will be a cheaper way of doing everything and you will have some extra cash to save up for the 4" lift you really want in the future. This will allow you to also forgo the new shocks until you have the $ for a 4" lift.

Its Time...

Alright folks, my summer job has been going great and its time to put my hard earned dollars into my baby. (Red, 01, tj) I have already ordered the beautiful seat covers made by our own infernogirl (do i get a discount for advertising? ) Now its time to lift the jeep up. I am going to do the lift first, then wheels and tires. So here are my options, any help is appreciated. Right now I plan on a $2,000 budget for all jeep related things. Tires will be 33"

1) DPG Ultimate Kit w/ Cragars and Cheaper house brand tires ~$2000.
The problem here is that it leaves me little wiggle room because of the OME kit price, but its not out of the question because of the quality.

2)Complete Zone 4" Kit with MTZ's and Black Steelies -$1600
A good price from what I've been looking at. What concerns me is the full 4" lift. I will not be able to afford an SYE/CV if I were to get the DW.

3)RC 3.25" with black steelies and duratracs ~$1200
The cheapest so far but the quality of RC is concerning.

4) 2" BB with new shocks (Zone/Skyjacker), 1" BL, steelies, duratracs. ~$1000
Cheapest by a good amount, not crazy about a BB or a BL but I am on a budget. I'm leaning this way because of the price.

Let me know what you think. I am going back and fourth between option 2 & 4. I would get a nicer kit but I make the money I can. I put in 40 hours weeks and overtime when I can so making more is out of the question lol. Thanks, and sorry for the long post.
