Nemo420 I called sum tire stores today just to ask if they think it could possibly be out of balance but they said i would probably feel it all the time. Does that make sense to anyone? So its probably the u-joint like you stated i will send u a P.M. asking a little more info. Thank you everyone for all your input and help much appreciated.

Jerry Bransford Based on that, I'm guessing one of your rear driveshaft's u-joints has gone bad. It could also be the front driveshaft's u-joints but the rear are more likely since they are under far more stress all the time.

If it is a bad u-joint, that's an easy/inexpensive thing to repair. A very good replacement u-joint for the driveshaft is a Spicer 5-785x which is a nice/more durable upgrade over the OE Spicer u-joints the factory installs.

Nemo420 wow umm no it is completly stock and no modifications at all. yea 80 is tops ill do but its not a death wobble its like Jerry stated its almost rythmic its almost in like perfect timing 1 sec vibration 1 sec not off and on and gets faster. Its only from 70-80mph. Its only got 54k miles on it.Yes i feel it in my seat so can the passenger. U can only feel it when i have the hardtop on and doors on or else its too windy to feel it.

Jerry Bransford Is it like a humming rhythmic vibration you feel up through the seat of your pants? Does your new TJ have any kind of suspension lift on it? A complete description of any modification you are aware of that may have been done to it would be useful to know.

Ageless Stranger I'm just amazed that it'll do 80.

Zetsumei Welcome to the forum! Um, just throwing an idea out there, but would this be some form of the death wobble? I know they have some type of track bar to help with the wobble/vibration.

Vibration from about 70-80mph.

Hi all i am having a vibration on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition. It only last for about 1 sec then stops for 1 sec and it goes on over and over if im driving at 70-80 which on the freeway is constantly. It was recently givin to me with 54k miles from my mom. She had new tires put on it and they were balanced. She said she didnt notice it on the way up when she drove it to me but i noticed it first day. Any idea what it is kinda broke so i just cant take it in and tell em to do everything. Appriciate any info
