JIMBOX Acceptit, there's something wrong with every top !!

I've had mine on/off and modified all to hell and it creaks (off-road), but not on-road

You might try just a slight loosening of the drivers/passenger side REAR tub hold down torx, unless it rains !!

Freedom Top creaking / flexing

Hello all,

I am new to the forum and a first time Jeep owner (2010 Sahara) and I love it!

When I am running the freedom top, I hear a loud creaking coming from the drivers side rear of the freedom top when there is a lot of vibration or I go over any bumps.

One of the problems is I only happen to notice this when the radio was off a few weeks ago, so I don't know if it has been doing it since day one.

I took it to the dealer and they made some "adjustments" and replaced the right rear hardtop hold down. Neither of these made any difference so far as I can tell.

Also the top aligns perfectly flush with the passensger side door, but on the driver side it flares out down by the door handle by a 1/4 inch or so.

The dealer said that the abnormal fit and flex in the hardtops is normal and that no two hardtops are the same.

Does this sound normal to you guys? I know I am being picky it as not noticable if the radio is on on better yet if the top is off I just want to make sure there isn't anything wrong with the top.

Thanks,
Scott
