|stabs05||I saw this thread and decided to check out RC's site. They have two 2.5 inch lift kits, a basic one that comes with springs and shocks and then an extreme one that comes with springs, shocks, upper and lower CAs, adjustable front trackbar, rear sway bracket and quick disco front sway bar. The basic package was $300 or something and the extreme package was $1K. Is the extreme package worth it?|

Make sure that the track bar in the front is nice and tight. It should not have any play in it. If your lucky it may be as simple as replacing the track bar bushing. The steering stabilizer will help, but if something else is causing the wobble the stabilizer will only hide it until the stabilizer wears out (much faster then normal) and you will be back where you started. Did you read the sticky at the top of the forum on "death wobble"? If not check it out there is some good info in there.

|jwm1986||Even wheels that are balanced to zero can wobble. Sometimes a bad alignment or bad shock or whatever will cause irregular wear on the tire causing it to get slightly "out of round" ... I have had that problem in the past. If your tires are pretty fresh I wouldn't think it to be the problem however.|

|Bulletproof||Solman i tried aligning the front end like you suggested and couldnt get it close enough so i took it too the shop and got it aligned...but i am still having problems with the front end wobbling like crazy everynow and then...i know its not my wheels they are balanced out, the mechanic i talked to suggested a new steering stabalizer shock so im about to order that but do yall have any other ideas on how to fix that problem?|

|ROB719||bulletproof, what size tire are you gonna run? if you're gonna run 33's then i'd go with the 4" lift. i installed the 4" a little over a year ago and have had no problems. i also installed the adjustable front track bar. i'm running 33's on my 2000 tj.|

|jwm1986||Go join JeepForum and go through the vendors list and you'll find everything you need. I can't openly tell you how to do that from another forum!|

i just installed a 2.5" on my jeep a couple of weeks ago. i also bought the rear track bar bracket but did not install it. reason behind this is if both axles are off center correct just one seems point less as it will seem like your driving sideways slightly. so I'm going to hold off till i can do the front at the same time. i also recommend not even bothering with trying to undo the front shocks at the top. it will just spin, i spent 2 hours trying till i gave up. 2 min with a saws-all later and i had them both off. also get some pb blaster and start soaking a week before you start. and if you don't want to disconnect the track bar grab some strut compressors as well.
make sure you seat the coils right the first time. i have one not sitting in the groove and it keeps banging on the bump stop holder and is driving me nuts!
anyway enjoy it! i'm loving mine, but i still need tires.

|gth-wrangler97||Im about to order my 2.5" too... Im gonna get the rear track bar but how big of a difference will it be if I dont get it? or is there anything else I will need. Jeep is a daily driver as well too so nothing to extreme or that isnt needed.|

|Rawkon||well just look at the jeep forum thread, saggy springs, rear shock setups with 2 inches of uptravel, leaky shocks.... but hey they will replace everything as often as you need it.|

I put the RC 2.5" on my 06 and thought it was great. The only thing that I would have gotten was a rear track bar bracket and a front adjustable track bar. It shifted the axles a bit, but not too bad.
I now have an 07 Rubicon Unlimited and am most likely going to go with RC once again for their 4" JK kit.

If all your getting is the coils, shocks, and body lift kind of stuff you'll be golden. I run the 2.5" RC coils now and actually prefer them over the OME kit I had. I still have the OME shocks however and have not tried the RC ones.
So stop posting about how much they suck until you try if for yourself... And with the jeepforum discount, it's also one of the cheapest kits you can get.
