|Atthehop||I thin 50% of everyone on this forum has replaced their oil sender at least once.|

|Jerry Bransford||There is no need to go to the trouble of testing it with an external gauge, odds are it is nothing more than either a bad oil pressure sender (mounted near the oil filter) or perhaps the electrical connection at the sender is just dirty/grimy from oil/dirt and just needs to be flushed with something like WD-40 which is highly effective at such tasks. Just shake or blow the excess WD-40 out of the connector and sender jack before plugging them back together. I would clean the connectors before buying a new sender.|

Oil guage up all the way
I know that someone has posted something like this before but i couldn't find it.
Sometimes when it is hot out - like today - my oil guage sky rockets and stays all the way to the top (80)
I think I should test the guage with an external guage??? otherwise high oil pressure isn't a terrible issue?
I hope I am remembering this correctly from a few months back.
When this happens, I don't notice anything wrong with the jeep.
