Atthehop I thin 50% of everyone on this forum has replaced their oil sender at least once.

Jerry Bransford There is no need to go to the trouble of testing it with an external gauge, odds are it is nothing more than either a bad oil pressure sender (mounted near the oil filter) or perhaps the electrical connection at the sender is just dirty/grimy from oil/dirt and just needs to be flushed with something like WD-40 which is highly effective at such tasks. Just shake or blow the excess WD-40 out of the connector and sender jack before plugging them back together. I would clean the connectors before buying a new sender.

Oil guage up all the way

I know that someone has posted something like this before but i couldn't find it.

Sometimes when it is hot out - like today - my oil guage sky rockets and stays all the way to the top (80)

I think I should test the guage with an external guage??? otherwise high oil pressure isn't a terrible issue?

I hope I am remembering this correctly from a few months back.

When this happens, I don't notice anything wrong with the jeep.
