GeoCoordinates in Navigation 2010 Wrangler

Hi. I'm a geocacher and was super excited about having built in Nav with my new Wrangler. Only problem is, the geocoordinates aren't coming up right. I've checked the settings and am using the decimal Long/Lat but something isn't right. Can anyone help?

SpudNuts Anyone have an idea if I can replace a REQ with a RBZ? If so, is there anything extra that I would need for the RBZ?

SpudNuts Yeah, looks like i'm just going to replace it with a MyGig RBZ so I can have NAV too. I've seen them on ebay for about $300-350. Question I have is, does the RBZ have everything built in or is there anything that I would need to get? It looks like it would just swap out. If anyone knows of the right model that I can use that has NAV to swap out with the REQ, please let me know. I don't want to buy a RBZ if it won't work.

babiehughie This head unit can, with aftermarket support, read DVD's and send the video to screens. It can also read audio DVD's that can hold more songs/info than CD's. The U-Connect "feature" is a joke! $285 for the module and microphone? I think they finally put it in the 2010s.

SpudNuts I googled all I can on the part number (05064920AE) and all I can find is that it a REQ. I removed the vent cover and removed the radio and found out that it does have connectors for uconnect and DVD but could not find any PDF file on it online.

I guess my next thing to find is the uconnect module (at least for a resonable price). I'm shocked that it's price is that high. Once I get that worked out, then i'll hunt down the DVD portion.

Thanks for the replies.

mikes05unlimited It probably just has an output on the back for a dvd player to be added. Kind of like when a head unit says changer on it and has the controls for a CD changer. Just my guess though

New Jeep, strange radio

Hey everyone,

I just bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara and since its only 1 day old (to me that is), i'm checking everything out but have a question about the stereo.

1. Has UConnect buttons but says it isn't configured, is this a software change or hardware, i'm asking because of the second strange thing about it...

2. The radio is labled DVD and the installed package says "AM/FM Stereo Radio w/In-Dash 6-Disc DVD/MP3 Player".

This thing doesn't have a screen to watch any DVD's nor does it have NAV. No one at the dealer had any clue as to the "DVD" part of this stereo.

I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
