BreckenridgeYJ When you replace the control arms, VERY closely check the bolts for wear (perhaps break out a set of calipers.... If you are spending the money for new control arms, make sure your bolts aren't worn down which will very quickly destroy the new bushings in the new set. Also inspect the control arms brackets to insure the holes are not oval shaped. Fastenal is a good source for control arm bolts and MUCH cheaper than OEM ones from the stealership (admittedly I bought half of mine from the dealer though.)

Bumble Jeep Oldguy, thanks for your input. I have a adjustable track bar. As a matter of fact I just pulled it off to check for worn bolts- all was good there. I may be overreacting a bit, but I think the adjustable Control Arms is my fix.

Oldguy Not to spend all your money but there are a few things to consider in the future that will help. The control arms are definitely the place to start. That should take care of a lot, especially with the Fox shocks.

Getting the body lift minimized or eliminated will definitely make your rig more stable. I've seen some really scary stuff with that combo.

Adjustable track bars will also help a lot to settling things down because you can accurately center both the front and rear axles.

Good luck with your project, hopefully see you on the trial this summer.

Bumble Jeep BTW guys, thanks for your input, I'm looking forward to getting out more often this summer and enjoying some
trail driving/4-wheeling.

Bumble Jeep Yes, if I break suddenly it does tend to want to dart in to the right or left. I'm thinking after I spend $937.00 on new CA I should be able to drive my jeep with confidence above 60 mph.
I have no reason to drive the jeep 75 mph down the hwy. I just want it to drive good down the hwy.

Bumble Jeep To answer a few of your questions, I bought the jeep set up this way. 4" BDS lift and 1.5" bl. The front lower CA were the only ones replaced (non adjustable). I have since replaced the rear low CA with the adjustable TeraFlex. I have noticed that the upper front and rear Stock CA show some wear. BreckenridgeYJ Are the other control arms stock/original? How many miles are on the jeep? Control arm bolts are notorious for wearing and then will shift and allow for these symptoms. Mine also clunked when I shifted.... I literally almost pulled the carrier apart and had the gears reset before I realized it was worn control arm bushings and bolts. I had a pro comp 4" lift on it. When you hit a bump on the freeway does the jeep get really squirrelly? Mine did. Once I replaced the hardware and bushings it was like a new car.

Your avatar photo looks like you have flat fenders.... Unless you have a belly up kit, I'd pull the body lift. Lowering the center of gravity will improve handling on and off road. (And won't cost an ground clearance. A flat belly skid is the only reason I could see a purpose for a body lift.

Caiha A degree split in your caster will not cause that. If anything it will drift to the lower degree. What are the other angles set at? Camber and toe? You also have to figure that manufacture specs don't matter anymore since you have altered the vehicle.

Oldguy One thing to point out is your rig is very top heavy. That is going to aggravate sway and any other suspension problems it might have. Why do you have an inch and a half of body lift? Your rig is set up with more than enough tire clearance for 35's without any body lift at all.

Bumble Jeep I went thorough the process of elimination, I have new Fox 2.0, shocks. I will be replacing all the control arms soon. I already have TeraFlex lower rear control arms.

I had the same thing on my tj..... It ended up being a combination of worn bolts, bushings, and wallowed out control arm brackets....

In my yj, the rear axle is a bit out of center which causes a similar sensation (but rear is 4 linked on the yj).. Your lift combined with the short wheelbase could also magnify any of those. Do you have an adjustable rear trackbar or relocation bracket? Are your shocks worn? I also had a blown shock in my tj that increased that sensation.

Unstable handling at higher speeds

Does any one out there feel like there rig sways right to left, left to right (60+ mph) I'm dealing with this right now, and have been. I found that my caster is not set properly. I have a 4" lift and 1.5" body lift. I'm running 35" tires. I found that the left side of my axel caster is at 6.0 and my right is at 5.0. I was told it should be set at 6.5-7.0 does anyone here have some info you can share with me?
