lancetkenyon Meh. I have run spacers for years, as a DD and a trail rig only. As with ALL mods, they just take some maintenence to be safe and trustworthy. Those that say they are dangerous and they would never run them, have read a lot of hype on the interweb. I would MUCH rather run a set of quality aluminum spacers and aluminum wheels than a cheap set of POS $60 steelies. Soft 8s are some of the worst rims I have ever seen firsthand.

You can find them on the web all over the place, but don't go as cheap as possible. Get a set of solid 1 piece billit aluminum spacers, torque them to spec with a drop of red Locktite, and check them periodically.

InfernoGirl Yep, new steelies will run just a bit more than decent spacers and won't require the maintenance/upkeep that spacers do. Jegs and summit are about the cheapest for soft 8's, check CL and the for sale sections on the forums and you might find some used ones cheaper...

TheTJRod I have a set of 33x12.5x15 on mine, with 3.75" backspacing with no rubbing issues or restrictions of turn radius. As long as they arn't mounted on the stock 15" wheels you should be good. As most aftermarket wheels have that backspacing as standard. I got the black steely "D" window ones for 50 bucks a pop.

Atthehop Personally I would NEVER use spacers.

Jma20a its usually cheaper to get new wheels with the proper backspacing than spacers.

New tires...Spacer question

I just picked up a set of BFG M/T 33/12.5/15's from a buddy for 50 bucks. Yeap that's right...he said his dad wanted them out of the garage so he just gave them away pretty much. Anyway my question is I need wheel spaces since they are wider. Where is the best/cheapest place to get them. Thanks for any help.
