edmond I'm running the Savvy front bumper as well, works great. I think MetalCloak also has a new alum bump.

emills I have the Savvy front as well. Very well made and very good quality . I would highly recommend it.

They also have other armor items to keep up the strength but drop the weight. Corner protection, gas tank skid, t-case/engine skid, rockers. I have a few of their other products too and have been very happy with everything I got from them.

Jerry Bransford I am running Savvy's outstanding aluminum bumpers front and rear. Savvy Offroad

Their bumpers were tested HARD in Johnson Valley Calf. where their designer wheels regularly to test his products and you're not going to hurt them. Their integrated shackle points are steel but the rest of the bumper is T-6 6061 aircraft grade aluminum and it is tough stuff. I replaced my steel bumpers with Savvy's and I couldn't be happier. The only thing they don't want their rear bumper used for is towing even though you can get one with a built-in receiver hitch. It's more than strong enough, they just don't want the insurance/legal liability of saying it is rated to tow X-number of pounds.

DKarge87 Savvy makes some nice light weight and 31's are the largest without rubbing

Aluminum bumpers - who has them?

I just got my first non-sports car ever and I love it (06 LJ 6spd). I was gonna try and leave it stock, but that's not gonna happen now, I realize. I'd like to start toughening it up but I don't want to add weight. I want to try and keep decent mileage (I know, I know it's a Jeep) so I want to swap things that either won't add weight(if possible) or will decrease weight so I'd like to start with some lighter weight bumpers. Does anyone know what my options are? I'm been trying to search online, but not much is coming up or at least it's not specifying the material it's made of.

Also 31x10.5's are the tallest tire I can fit without lift correct?
