TjTheo i just used truck bedliner for those cause it's tougher than normal paint. but just make sure you take the rust off before you paint it.

IndyJeepMan id go with 3-4 and id might get some high temp paint for around the exhaust and engine area. Im not sure what normal paint melts at.

Rustoleum too, and make sure to sand of all rust that is on any surfaces paint will just cover it up and itll get worse, you gotta kill the disease aka rust. I'd personally undercoat it with rubberized spray its a little tougher.

Painting the frame and gas tank skid plate

So I have decided it's time to paint my frame black as well as my gas tank skid plate. Is normal spray paint ok for this? Also is there anything I need to avoid? How many coats should I put on, and I have 3 cans should that be enough for the frame and gas tank skid plate?
