Gee oh Dee I would like to talk with someone who's been around this area. PM me if you can.

deadhead Zeddjb,

I'm afraid you're mistaken.

The link you posted is that of a private campground. "The Pipeline", as it is commonly referred to, is actually Forest Service Road #55552 on the Lakewood-Laona Ranger District located in the Eastern Chequamegon/Nicolet National Forest. You can find FS #55552 on their website.

The Wisconsin Off-Highway Vehicle Association (WOHVA) held a Trail Maintenance Day there earlier this spring (May 15th, 2010). WOHVA also has a Fall Trail Maintenance Day scheduled for September 25th, 2010 (National Public Lands Day). Attending this event would be a great way to become familiar with the area.

PipeLine Trails Closed?

So I have never been up to the Pipeline before I had no idea where I was going so I was doing some research online. Turns out that the Pipeline trails are closed as of this year permanently?

See this site

So it looks like I won't be making the trip up there. I'm glad that I did some research before I wasted a trip up there for nothing.
