|daggo66||That is not possible. What you are describing sounds perfectly normal. It will seem like you're going faster than you want to in reverse. Just let the clutch out all the way and use the brake, you won't stall.|

The engine is warmed up with a 20 min drive. Now thinking about it, is it possible that the reverse gear some how jumped gears so that it is reversing in 2nd gear, excuse my ignorance because i`m not sure how the gears work inside the block.
And is a bad thing for the engine to have this problem?

i`ve found an additional information.
Reversing seems to be double the speed while not pushing down the accelerator.
I reverse everyday up my driveway, and i notice that before i let the clutch go all the way. Now i have to hold it down half way so its not so fast. And i can really notice it when the clutch is released its just nearly double speed then before.
Any thoughts anybody?

Reverse feels different after trailing.
hiya guys, i`m new here to the forum in search of some help in my question.
I went off roading Sunday and got stuck twice in deep mud. I have a standard stock JK 5dr.
After the off roading event i`ve noticed when reversing it feels different especially when steering reversed. the engine is a bit like an old tractor when reversing. Still works perfect when reversing. As it was really muddy i power water jetted the brakes, maybe that something jammed it.
After the power jet, it was better, but not the same as before.
Anybody know a possible cause and solution? Hope my explanation is of any understanding. If you guys have question just shoot.
