In other words, in the "vent" slider position, the faster you go, the more it blows.....

NAVYCHIEF the center "vent" is actually not a vent. it is only heater. the selector slide must be in the "heater" postion for any output. temp will be determined by the heat/cool slide. in the heat/defrost positions there will always be some flow. amount of flow is determined by the blower switch. the vent position only has flow to the square hole by the passengers feet. it in never powered by the blower. whew!!!!!!

1995, the vents right under the middle of dash.

so your saying if i put heat on then the vent will work? but wont work if i just put cool on...

saltwaterwop Check your engine compartment for any vacuum hoses to see if one came loose from the engine.
A Vacuum usually runs the vent switching operation.

If the vent switch work smoothly, likely a hose.
If the vent switch seems to be binding or too lose, it may also be a knob switch connection that is broken/loose behind the dash.

in cabin vent doesnt work

my in-cabin vent does not work at all. my defroster works just fine. nothing blows out of the vents at all. was just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them or heard of this and how to fix it...thanks
