Backwoods81 I can't give you my experience, because I am still looking for a Jeep, but I can however offer two suggestions... Have you checked the tranny fluid, just pull the dipstick out and see, I had an 95 Stratus with the same problem, stuck in 2nd and low on ATF fluid. My other suggestion is, if it is not the fluid, get your jeep into the dealer before you need a new transmission and you are stranded somewhere...

Auto Tranny Stuck in 2nd

I've got a 2010 Unlimited Sport with the auto transmission. The other day it would not shift out of 2nd gear. It wouldn't up-shift or down-shift. I had to turn the engine off and then re-start to get the tranny to shift right. It has happen twice, has anybody else seen this?
