Grade 8 bolt, 1/2 x 2 1/2 national coarse hex head have a shear rating of 17 thousands pounds EACH bolt. The tow hook or the nut spot welded in the frame will fail before the bolt will.
The bolts they put with those hooks from autozone are grade 2.
But hey fill your boots !!

T-55 is the OEM tow hooks in the front.
Swap them out for 1/2 bolts ... better and safer than those POS

|KennewickGuy||T55 was the largest I could find and I think that was for my rear trackbar bolt on the axle end.|

Pretty sure it's a T55.
I'd go to a local auto parts store and buy a $20 set with an included ratchet. Most of them offer lifetime warranties. I bought one from NAPA and one of the torx sockets snapped, swung by the closest one and they swapped me for a new one no problems.

whats the largest torx bolt on a Wrangler
I am wanting to buy a Torx set, would a T55 be the biggest needed on a Wrangler? Quadratec offers a set from T20 to T55 for $25.00 I am thinking of getting a set to have just in case!
