Most likely, no. But it is possible. They aren't too expensive and actually help a lot in navigating traffic

bmpage84 Yes, MA requires at the very least a drivers side (left) mirror as indicated in MGL C90/ S7. (I won't bore you with the entire 10,000 word run-on sentence that makes up C90/S7) Here is the excerpt regarding mirrors:

"Every motor vehicle shall be equipped with at least one mirror so placed and adjusted as to afford the operator a clear, reflected view of the highway to the rear and left side of the vehicle."

You can legally have just a left side view mirror because it affords the driver both the left side AND a rear view. The rear view mirror only covers the rear.

The fine for failing to have one is $35.00. It is an equipment CMVI (civil motor vehicle infraction), not a moving CMVI, therefore it is not subject to an insurance surcharge.

Here in Pa you only need a rear view mirror, but other states require 2 or even 3 mirrors. Check with your local law enforcement to see what's considered legal in your area. It's always a good idea to have at least 2 mirrors for safety reasons though. So i recommend a small mirror mounted somewhere on the driver side.

There are a ton of different options for Mirrors for your Jeep. the most popular being the ones that will slide down into the door hinge and give you good visibility and more importantly, keeping you legal.

Hope this helps!

ortizml86 I think it just depends on the laws in your state, look it up first or just play it safe and do one-up

ortizml86 In NC, all you need is your rear-view mirror. Although its good to have relocation brackets for your mirrors for safety measures, if you do take your doors off.

Greentj05 You do see a lot of guys driving around with no mirrors, but they are liable to get picked on by whatever law enforcement personnel that just so happens to be in a bad mood that day.. I just make sure I toss in some mirrors when I head out.

Renegade44 I believe it is law that you have a driver side mirror.
