Ended up taking out the back seat (never have more than one passenger anyways) and bought a large duffle and strapped it down to the seat mounts.
I am getting better at my aluminum welding, now I just need to get enough scrap diamond plate to build something. Can't afford to buy a 4x8 sheet, and steel is waaaaay to heavy.

|Jp90Talon||I had an extendatrunk that I had purchased to use in my TJ. I then bought my LJ and kept my fingers crossed that it would at least come close to fitting and then I could just do a bit of custom work and make it all nice. Yeah didnt happen. I tried to test fit it into the LJ and it didnt even come close. I strongly recomend it to anyone looking for a secure trunk area and I can vouch that it now looks amazing in my friends TJ......forget about trying to make it work in your LJ! I even pissed that we cant install a Duster cover without removing the entire soft top from the Jeep. IMO your best bet is to purchase one of the nice aluminum black diamond plate truck boxes they sell ay Harbor frieght to have a secure area. Either way good luck and keep us updated with what you decide to do.|

Who has the Bestop Extendatrunk?
I need measurements. Hoping I can make modifications to fit just the cargo section of the rear without pulling the back seat.
Once again, the 03-06 "Unlimited" has a very "Limited" availability of aftermarket options when you get to dealing with anything involving the extra 10" in the rear.
Looking for a hard tonneau cover or trunk that does not interfere with the soft top, and covers the fender wells (READ - goes from rail to rail, not slip in-between).
If I have to make one from scratch, it will either be wood and fugly, or steel and uber heavy. I lack the skills and tools to deal with aluminum (welding).
