Here are Good Year Duratracs 245/75/16 (load C rating) on my 2010 JK with stock 16" steel rims. Yes they fit perfectly and do not rub what so ever. The height of your original 225/75/16 tires was 29.5 inches and the 24/75/16 good years are 30.5 inches. You will come up more naturally and they are a much wider tire for more road grab and feel. These tires don't affect you MPG much and are a very comfortable ride. They sing on the road but that's fine with me and fun to hear. They are superb off road.

|4Jeepn||I have looked at pep boys a few times for tires they always seem over priced. I think you could go bigger than the 245..stock they are 255 or 265.|

Stock 16 JK Wheels - Fit LT245/75R16 Definity Dakota?
Pep Boys - Tire Details
hey all, figured I'd ask all the experts out there a question regarding what the stock 16 inch sport wheel can handle. I wish I had the money for a lift / wheel/ tire combo but right now I just don't see myself coming up with the money for some time.
I am trying to max out a tire with what I currently have. My dealer (wasn't real assertive/confident) told me that he "thinks" the max tire you can throw on the stock wheel is 245/75/16. I like the aggressive look of the Definity and the price is pretty nice as well.
I just want to make sure the tire will fit / not rub or cause any major issues.
Opinions? If you know of another comparable or better tire (under 200 a whack) then I am ALL ears.
