|lancetkenyon||I ran 37" MT Comp Claws for 3+ years. True, they are not the same as the radial Claws, but dang. I have run with a lot of guys with the radial Claws too. Great in the rocks, great in the mud, and amazing in sand. Like mini paddles. As for the MTZs, I know 2 guys running them, and I have been impressed with those also.|

|Cbarb54||I had Goodyear duratracs on my 2500hd ( before my jeep) those were the best tires I've ever had so far. They also have the keV sidewalls. Good of the road and killed in mud. Don't really have snow here but reviews looked good on then. Very expensive thou|

I too am intrigued by the Kevlars. I have friends running them and they are grippy as all get out.
BUT, I've been watching closely, and they seem to wear down pretty swiftly.
I think that's how the game goes though. You can have good grip, or long lasting, but not really both at the same time.
I still love my Cepeks.

I know. Those were my first choice but I had a buyer for my BFG ATs and the MTRs were on national back order so I settled for the more expensive MTZs. Dumb.

|gus54||My MTZs are only a few months old - a little over 3k and they have worn a little over 1/16" already. Kind of a lot I think. I have had them spinning on some rocks though - and they have gotten pretty torn up from that. Put a tear in a sidewall but not bad enough to let air out and fixed it with some ES6000. Great on rocks, mud, sand and wet streets. They sing pretty loud on dry roads. I would probably not buy again but go with the Goodyear MTR Kevlar next time.|

Well, I KNOW they aren't on your list, but you might want to check out the Dick Cepek Mud Country
They're a division of Micky Thompson tires, they're great on everything! They clean out FAST in the mud, grip like crazy in the snow, are sure footed in mossy creek beds, through water, up and over rocks, I bleepin LOVE my Mud Countrys!
and they are quiet on the highway too

|Cbarb54||Yeah I have an 02 tj and putting on a 4.5 inch lift. And just debating on if I wanna do the whole axle upgrade. And go big or just get the 33's and spend the money on other upgrades.|

They're 33's and so far they've been great in the rain and the snow. I'm not into mud, but the few times I've had them in the mud they did great. The ONLY negative thing I can say about them is that they pick up some big pebbles in the tread void and sling them. Haven't done any damage yet, but I'd hate to be following me down the highway after picking up some rocks on the trail.
To answer your question about how much lift I have, there's 4.25" of suspension and 1" of body lift. There's room for 35's (especially when I get my tube fenders installed), but I'm waiting to decide what to do about my front diff before I get bigger tires. I have a locked Ford 8.8 for the rear, but haven't decided what I'm going to install up front.
