The plastic lips are part of the bestop door surrounds. Also, I am going to try the weather stripping. I put a new top on as well which appears to fix most of it. I followed the bestop YouTube video install which was a ton easier! In addition I installed the header first.
we shall see. Btw, the guys at Morris 4x4 and Bestop were really great about exchanging the top. I highly recommend both!

What is that plastic piece sticking up above the door in the pictures on the right? I know nothing of the NX top, but for stock tops the door surrounds should be inside the top. Is it possible that you reversed the right and left door surrounds?
Also on stock tops there is weather stripping in the front corner of the door surround on each side. When that becomes damaged or missing, it can easily be replaced by regular half inch foam weather stripping from Home Depot.

I have had this top for my 2010 for two years not one leak. Except when we get extremely strong winds while driving get a little mist during gust. This is due to the cable flapping? Next to that love the top and no problems.
did you put the top on when it was cold and not sunny? The top needs to stretch.
I don't think it matters if you install the front or back 1st. when you use the sunrider I leave the back hooked up and close it with no problems.
Is the hook on the driver side fully engaged? Meaning the hook is seated onto the loop? I had installed mine once and the hook was not seated all the way on the loop. The top of the hook was caught 1/2 way on the hoop (not seated correctly) and when I was done it did not look right.

|Toasty||Looking at your pictures, there doesn't appear to be a gap between the header and windshield. Are you positive that's where its leaking from?|

|Toasty||When you installed the soft top, did you latch the header to the windshield first or did you hook the rear fins to the tub? Could make a big difference depending on the order you assemble. I know of a lot of people having issues closing the top because they leave the front latches for the last step. If bad hardware isn't the issue, try reassembling it out in the sun(the heat will help the material stretch out a bit). Leave the rear fins unhooked and lock the header into place first. After that, go to the back and hook the rear fins into the tub. You may notice that because you closed the front end first, the rear flaps may be a few inches short of reaching the tub. In that case, pull down slightly on the frame above with one hand, and then secure the fins with the other hand. Hope this helps.|

|daggo66||It's probably a problem with your header. It would be better to post pictures of yours, both inside and outside and maybe someone with a NX top can help you.|

|fljeepunlim||The top doesn't close tightly with the windshield .. It's about a quarter of an inch off.. Can anyone upload a pic of their soft top connecting to thee windshield ? I just want to confirm that is the issue.|

Water leaking through Bestop
I woke up this morning to about Half Gallon of water sitting on the floor. I just put a Bestop NX on two weeks ago. I have a 2012 JKU. My buddy is trying to tell me this is normal with a soft top. Is it?
