Wbeech45 I think that looks like a pretty good deal of course I would take it out and if u have a friend or mechanic that u know have them check it out. Like they said earlier check the underside of it for rock damage that will tell u ALOT!!

Wbeech45 I also would shy away from the 4cyl. SORRY all u 4 banger guys I don't think the fuel is enough to offset the lack of power especially if u lift it ( and u know u will ) and drive in the snow.

i'm not so sure the 4cyl is actually better on gas but if it is i'm sure it's not by much and i doubt it's worth having an under powered jeep that is hardly hiway worthy. i may be wrong because i've never owned one but this is the impression i get from what i've read

well im only 18 turning 19 soon. I wanted the 4cyl cuz its cheaper on gas. Im not really going to go off roading just need it for every day life. And i live in Canada so i dont wanna get stuck in the snow lol. So if i buy a 4cyl jeep, What are the biggest tires i can put on without straining the engine?

Also how many inchs do you guys recommend when lifting your jeep? I was thinking 2inchs, 3 inchs max

(thanks for the help)

RatherBNarizona ^ they both said it
An ad can only show so much, you are going to need to look underneath it and go over it pretty well. If you are unsure, take it to a mechanic and ask their opinion of it.
Welcome!

Mr. Sinister it looks pretty clean, especially under the hood. that's a great price, i'd go check it out, look over the underside and if it looks clean, get a carfax on it. if it checks out, go for it!!

Geoff@Bestop $11,000 for a 2006 is not a bad price, especially from a dealer. It's a 4 cylinder, which will keep it cheaper to buy and to run. And probably to insure.

But I can't see underneath, can't tell how bad it's been abused, etc.

A 2006 is the last year of the "TJ" model, which I think is a great year for a first Jeep. There are TONS of aftermarket parts and accessories, so you can build up the Jeep exactly how you want.

In addition to all the normal used car stuff, you want to check for off-road abuse (bent bits underneath).

And of course, the constant advice: NEVER fall in love with the first one you look at. There will be others if you don't get this one.
