What does everything else mean? Diff's/transfer case etc?

A list of things to do would be most appreciated. I want to set up my Wrangler for deep water adventures

Talon282 They make them for a 2.5 I looked around online they all say 4.0. One thing I read says for a 2.5 u have to make ur own airbox. I'm not into do that stuff I want to buy it and have my mechanic put it in and be done with it . I don't want to Jerry rig something it may work perfect but it just don't look good

Talon282 Cool I wonder if mesh screen in the inlet would help keeping bugs and junk out of the system

Talon282 I just want to do this for looks really the flooded rd just gave me the idea

pakman55 Also some snorkels aren't even "water proof" They only raise the airbox up. This allows it to suck in less dirty air.

burton160w Yes, all snorkels will somehow have to exit the engine bay (usually through the fender) and sit on the side of the windshield. Snorkels protect you when you decide to fjord through some lakes. They most likely won't protect your Jeep when it's sitting in a flooded area. As well, you have to be careful that the snorkel has someway to protect itself from rain and the elements.

AzTJ If you need a snorkel, the water level will be above your headlights. Snorkels are of no use unless you waterproof everything else.
