txoutdoorx4 Rugged Ridge is nice but Expedition One makes some very nice, high quality front/rear bumper systems, as does Rokmen. I'd check them out. Shrockworks is good but customer service is so-so. Nonetheless, best of luck!

AzTJ I'm starting to lean heavily twords the Fabtech.

Gonna give my friends a call tomorrow when I order the lift and ask him about some bumpers.
04-24-2007 07:45 AM
blownfanswitch Those are nice bumpers, but I think I'm going Shrockworks when I get the cash to pull a new bumper.

I don't know why I typed ARB, I meant 'WARN', the winch people. Nice part about it you can add a winch tray later on if you want.
I got the warn for $200 at local 4x4 shop here in the poconos, the second one cost me $220 5 months later...

Yeah, I've seen them before. Look pretty good, but I still prefer the Fabtech one. However I've heard rumor that the Fabtech one isn't going to be made anymore. I guess I need to make up my mind and pull the trigger if I want to pick it up.

4Jeepn Save money, keep stock bumper add winch and tow hooks, take 300-500 you would have spent and get a front locker...if you already don't have one...

LoD Genuine Equipment: Front Bumpers & Winch Plates

AzTJ Well I'm giving my friend a call tomorrow to order my lift and stuff so I'm gonna see what he has to say about a custom one.

jeeperx2 I dont know what labor rates are in AZ ? our fab shop is 75 hr thats only 6 hrs to build it from scratch that would be tough to do unless they have a pattern/parts lying around? just a thought

MOz I just bought the Model SRC from Rugged Ridge. Nice all around, it has excellent protection, spots for extra stuff and is rugged. I'm adding a Milemarker winch this weekend so I'll let you know if it goes wrong. (I do not forsee any issues, I already installed the mounting plate without any problems.)

ABS has a similar unit but is much more expensive but can knock down a house. Pocket the extra cash and buy a winch...that's what I did .

richp ARB makes a nice front one, I'm on my second one, daughter broke a saturn in half with the first one.

upinar Tube Bumpers!!!
04-23-2007 01:56 AM
Joe Dirt Check out the bumpers at 4x4xplor.com - Jeep TJ Wrangler, JK, CJ and XJ Cherokee Write-Ups I really like the looks of the LOD stuff.

SurfnSnow I've got the Fab-tech bumper and I like it. It's solid, and well built the only thing is that you need to purchase fog light extensions for about $25. Trail Gear has a similar bumper (like the Fab-Tech) and I think it's cheaper price wise but their quality is top-notch
04-22-2007 08:15 PM
AzTJ meh... yeah, but I don't like it stretching all the way from the outside of the fender to the other....

I think I'm leaning twords the Fabtech now because of zero tire interference.

Anyone else have pics of what they are running?
The best top High Rock looks similar to the Hanson but for less money.
04-22-2007 07:26 PM
jeeperx2 i fabbed the whole thing mostly FT looking except for lower hoop is FRS looking
04-22-2007 07:18 PM
AzTJ I don't think I'd like the front of my jeep looking like an arrowheard.
04-22-2007 07:15 PM
Scout Here, I'll confuse you some more. How about the Currie with the radiator hoop.

AzTJ its just the bottom thats the FRS right? I can't remember, but did you fab the whole thing or chop 2 bumpers up?
04-22-2007 06:57 PM
jeeperx2 This is my homemade fabtech/foureal obviously my pick!

Jerry Bransford I'd choose any of the other three before I'd take the Rugged Ridge. Too big/massive appearing for the front of a Jeep for me, even though I realize it does a better job of protection.

For rock crawling which is popular in your home state of Arizona like it is here in SOCAL, I prefer a stubby that gives a better approach angle. I had Zach at AtoZ Fabrication make up this one... 44" long, stinger, built-in winch mount, shackle tabs, and light tabs. It turned out great, Zach does great work.
04-22-2007 02:22 AM
jherrin215 I agree on the tube bumper, I like a bigger bumper, not a big fan of the tubes
04-22-2007 02:14 AM
1BLKJP Personally and I can speak from experience. Troy's stuff is junk. That bumper very rarely fits most winches and Troy is a huge PITA to deal with.

I like the Fabtech bumper and have been thinking about picking that up or building something similar.
