I looked and I can't find anything that says it has a zipper, I did see one though that says it makes the seat look like it was reupholstered.
Personally I kinda like the ones that inferno girl makes better though.

Thinkerer Thanks guys, I've already got good Wet Okole covers on the seats, it's the underlying padding that has to come out so I don't set fire to it when I weld the frame back together - took a look at it and it looks like it's held on with plastic clips (not even hog rings) ... anyone with experience?

wolfen The link only goes to their site where on there are washable zip on /off covers at?

NM JEEPS 15 reinstalling the padding is relatively easy to do. i would google it so u can have better directions. the reupholstering is a pain so i would recomend just buying some washable zip on/off covers that r durable an beasy to put on. I got mine from this site.

2002 TJ Seat Frame Repair

The front left seat mount has torn out of the driver's seat frame on my 2002 TJ. Repair sequence on these is usually:
  1. Pull the seat
  2. Remove the back section at the recliner hinge
  3. Remove the upholstery and padding from the bottom
  4. Weld/repair the bare bottom frame
  5. Reinstall padding and cover on bottom
  6. Reassemble and reinstall the seat

Does anyone have any experience with removing and reinstalling the upholstery and padding? With a lot of seats it's just hog rings and reasonably easy, but I'm not sure about this one.
