ARMYMSG.KUNERT Are you back at Great Lakes with your Jeep? I also have a Wrangler with a SBC 350 and would like to check out your set up. I'm just down South of Great Lakes at Ft. Sheridan. Hope to hear from you soon.

A 360 is music compared to the tingy sounding 350. However I did read through your whole build and I really enjoy your persistence to complete the project, most don't

yjkid95 Going on leave soon. Going to get the exhaust done and wrap up a couple loose ends. Spring will bring a 2.5 ome lift and some 33's.

On a side note were going to start building another 350. And my brothers trying to convince me to throw a 50 shot of nitrous on it to roast some ricers.

W5KVV Glad to see it moving under its own power. Keep up the good work!

yjkid95 Yea it took way to long. I've only been able to work on it for a total of a month and a half in the past three years due to being away from home with the navy.

How far along are you with yours

daddyjeep Glad to see it on the road. I sitll have a ways to go before mine comes out of the garage.

yjkid95 After everything's buttoned up I'm ordering a old man emu 2.5 inch lift and throwing some 33's on her.

yjkid95 Got an update. Took her out for a quick spin.

Just new to throw an exhaust on it and install the gauges. I will be insuring and registering it again when I go home on leave in December.

W5KVV Any updates? Just read thru your build. You've put a lot of effort in that ol YJ.

Hope everything is going smooth.

hannibalyj I just read through your build from start to finish. Do you have any new pics to post? Anxious to see finished product. Great Job so far!

yjkid95 A lot of people probably forgot about me on here or don't know me since its been so long since I logged in so here's the setup.

Chevy 350 with a 700r4 transmission adapted to the stock np231j
Novak motor mounts and rear mount
Novak transfer case shifter
Novaks radlock radiator with the integrated aluminum fan shroud and e fan
Block hugging headers
Novak 700r4 adapter
And a bunch of other stuff to make it all work. I pretty much have everything that Novak offers for a yj.

After this is buttoned up ill be doing a ome 2.5 inch lift with some 33 mts.

It's alive. Just small things to button her up now.

yjkid95 Jeesh it been a while. I have to post a first start up video. The navy is keeping me real busy. I started in the navy as a E1 seamen recruit. Now I am a E4. 3rd class petty officer. Time flies. Oh, I haven't been on leave for over a year to give you a idea on where's the jeep at.

Bostonshooligan so your trying to kind of make it look beat on while having a sleeper engine under the hood?
i like it!

The Toolman Oh I completely understand. I like to check up on your build along with a few others on a pretty regular basis. I enjoy seeing them & offering advise anytime I can. Plus, I have a lot of respect for what you do

This brings me to my newest idea for paint. I was just going to shoot olive drab and call it done. But everyones done that. As of now my jeeps got a few battle scars scratchs all over and the hood and grill are a off green color with some nasty chips showing red and white.

Jeeps have been to war and back and the battle scars are cool storys soooooo what do you guys think of just wet sand and semi gloss clear. Just to seal it up so it doesnt rust.
And going down the road like that most people would never guess theres a 350 under the hood. hehehe
That's a pretty neat idea if you ask me

yjkid95 Well its been a while boys and girls. Sadly I haven't gotten anything new for the jeep. As far as I know it just needs a speedo tach posi-lok cable and exhaust and I can drive it just fine. I just havent ordered those simple parts. I think my big problem is im 428 miles away from it. I wish I could find a place to keep it down here and work on it here. I think im going to try to get the exhaust done next. I got to get a price on it. After that Ill try to get it down here and just continue to work on it here.

The Toolman LOL, that IS a sweet victory. You'll be better off in the long run there. I'm fixing to go SOA in mine while swapping in a 8.8.

Yessir. The whole 8.8 thing is why im not to mad about the dana 35. My brother took it for a test drive and decided hed try to pop a wheelie in it after seeing youtube videos.
The only thing he popped was the diff apparently from what he told me. Thats when he offered the 8.8. Sweet victory!
