I've got to come to the frameless defense sort of haha. I have never had a leak in mine. I've been lucky enough to not have anything tear apart at the seems either. I think the only issue I have with mine is it is starting to tear at the plastic clip that goes on the tub, but that can be sewn back shut.
My only gripe is its a PIA to put on and take off. But when mines on its golden.

|jcoolw||I hate mine. The seam above my head leaks and I've only had if for 6 months. Don't waste your money.|

|CaballoDiablo||I have one I hate it and am going to replace it this summer|

|Drk5ide||Like the looks of my rampage frameless but it is a pos I have had to fix it 3 times now and have had it 8 months and didnt use it in the summer. I would recommend anyone looking at this top to buy the bestop I have spent what I saved fixing the rampage top. Should of got a bestop to start with.|

Me too and it is also a pain in the ass to put on brand new in cold weather. It is what it is. Great top!

|Drg82||Regardless of the brand I think you gotta be careful when it's cold. My dog put his face through my back window last winter because he thought he could go in the store with me. lol That'll happen I reckon|

First and foremost, this one is on you bud sorry.
I have a Rampage Frameless myself, and yes it is a PITA to put on. Once its on it doesn't come off until the summer. Occasionally I take out the back window, tuck it up into the top. But that thing is no 5 minute pop up and down top.
I love the look of the Frameless. That said, when the day comes and I need to buy a new one, I will get a top I can put up and or down in a few minutes, and most likely one that I never need to take off and find 10 square feet of storage for. I loved going topless in the summer but I compromised so much storage space for the top.

|Lord Jeepington||I was going to buy a rampage frameless from morris 4x4 but while on the phone with the guy from there, he talked me into the besttop trek top nx and told me he highly recommends i look into that before buying the rampage. yeah it was a little more money but from what i heard about rampage's frameless I'm glad he talked me out of buying it.|

|lindel||The softopper is still a good option. Don't rule it out without doing some research on it.|

I will say, though, that my wife would likely be far more in favor of the safari during the summer than no top . . . <sigh> guess I can't rule out frameless yet . . .

Don't get me wrong - I fully understand wanting to get out and play - I get impatient like that as well. But it might've been better to just bundle up real well and gone topless (trust me - people will look at you crazy but it IS a blast to be flying down the road in 3 degree weather topless and doorless - I did it during the last freeze).
I will be in a similar boat before too long - needing a new top. I originally thought I was going to want a frameless but after listening to several here, I'm going to end up (probably) going with a Replace-A-Top. It's almost always down in the summer, spring and fall (and so far, about half the winter) but I want to make sure it's still with me if I'm caught in a storm. From what I've heard, frameless isn't conducive for that - not really a good place to store it IN the jeep.

|Patrick H||I installed mine for the first time on a ~75* day. I did not have a problem. Yes, it was tight, but I didn't gorilla the thing. It's no Bestop, but for the money, it's a fine top. It does exactly what I wanted. I used it for about 4 months last year and will do the same this year. If it lasts at least 3 seasons I guess I'll be happy. When it does fail, I'll probably buy a Softopper.|

|Wrangler one||I have the same top.I found if you leave the sides below the rear windows loose that it gives you some slack to zip the rear window in.Then pop the sides in.I agree the back window is a pain but this makes it much easier. We really like the top.|

|Liggle||Not trying to add salt to the wound. I looked for months. Read a ton of reviews, and went with the Bestop Trektop NX. Not disappointed.|

|terpfahrman||The problem is I leave the top off the entire summer.. I only need it for minimal winter use and storage.. sounds like wrong top!!|
|01-21-2014 09:27 PM|
|terpfahrman||yeah I have heard other tops are better about a lot of aspects .. guess as always you get what you pay for!! never forget...|
|01-21-2014 09:26 PM|
|Kevin063||It took me an hour on an 80 degree day. Ask anyone who own's one, it has to be hot hot HOT or you're going to eff something up|
|01-21-2014 09:24 PM|
|YJ Steve-o||Not sure about the Rampage, but Softopper frame less tops have adjustable zippers. Helped out when I installed mine on a cool day, and was able to adjust as the weather warmed up.|
|01-21-2014 09:13 PM|
|Majnoon||Never done it but I would lay it in place and run the jeep a while with heat on plus have a space heater plugged in inside the jeep with a quality extension cord. Some heat will help more than nothing. My factory top is a mofo when weather starts to get cool. Parking out of shade helps too. Best yet borrow a heated garage. Soft tops are not designed for winter. If it was loose now you'd be hating it in the summer because it would be flopping around, pimp slapping you as you drive and get holes on it from all the flapping.|
|01-21-2014 08:34 PM|
|Patrick H||Yep, trying to install it in cold weather, and trying to zip the windows in, for the first time, in cold weather, is almost guaranteed to tear the zippers out.|
|01-21-2014 08:15 PM|
Follow the directions or pay the price. Doesn't sound like their fault.
Anytime I get a product with obvious flaws in it, I'm sure not going to keep installing it.
If after all that, your still getting a new replacement, you should be thankful that the vendor is helping you out. I gotta think they wouldn't be too happy about being bad mouthed online after their efforts.

|TJ Skip||I think it's a miracle you got it on at all with it that cold I struggled the first time I put mine on a 80 degree day and I feel your review a little unjust. It says in the directions it highly suggests it 70 degrees or higher theses tops are very tight at first and I feel for 300 dollars this is a great top is it a bestop frameless? No but for the difference in price I'll live the only grief I have with the top is it's a little noisy in the cab. So for what it's worth I say get the replacement and give it another shot in a warm garage.|
|01-21-2014 08:05 PM|
|terpfahrman||I also had the top stored in my house and the jeep in a garage..|
|01-21-2014 08:03 PM|
|terpfahrman||I didn't rush the top install I had to have it on today is what I was saying for the snow. it took over an hour to try and install it..I couldn't wait till spring or summer to put on the top.. You should never have to hold a job site heater next to the top the entire install!!! Also the zipper should not break like that. my old top was hard as hell to zip and never had one stitch bust! it should have more/better adjustments..|
|01-21-2014 07:34 PM|
|dotey1||And you are mad at the top when you noticed an obvious flaw, then got in a hurry and put the top on while the top is cold. Even after reading about the problems the top is known for. Might want to rethink about bashing a product, imo|
|01-21-2014 07:31 PM|
good luck... I am saving to replace mine bought last summer and will have to replace it this summer!
POS no check that HUGE POS

rampage framelss top sucks!
I had read on here the many problems with the quality of this top. I live in MD and we are getting a foot of snow so I was in a hurry to get my new top on so I could play in the snow. I took a buddy with me to put on the top as the videos I have seen don't look that fun. So putting it on due to the cold temp the top was too tight and ripped the back window zipper completely off. I also noticed a rip and poor stitching even before I put it on. So basically I have a 1 1/2" gap in the back of my jeep. I called quadratec and they are going to ship me a new one out. They suggested taking a workplace heater and keep constant heat on the top during install.. Seems like a lot for a top!! I like the look and space so I will give it one more chance...
