MysticAlpaca Great trail run and the first snow of the year!

We took the Hawkins Mnt Mines offshoot for something little more challenging at the end. I was very pleased again with the performance of my stock rig.

I did reach the limit of my SRA tires a couple of times it seemed, I think the LSD came to the rescue.

Grant's rig had a nice lift and 35's that handled many obstacles that I needed to find a better line for. I was glad to see he had a winch in case things got hairy, fortunately we did not need it.

Can I just say that disconnecting the sway bars is an absolute must. This was the first time I tried it and the Jeep felt soooo much more solid and planted to the ground. Wow. The manual disconnect does take time and kinda sucks, but worth it.

I hope to get out again before the weather changes too much.

hungry vulture Man I am sorry I missed the Fortune Creek run. I am new to Jeep ownership too, and looking for some folks to run with. I have a 2008 JK mostly stock except with the rubi tires.

MysticAlpaca We are going to do Fortune Creek tomorrow Sunday. Any takers? The trail map lists it as easy, I'm completely stock other than the Sport S package and LSD. There appears to be some nice mixed moderate off shoots, so we can consider upping the ante if we have enough recovery gear/people.

Meet up at 9:00 AM at the North Bend McDonalds.

Kreepy Krawler I'm more central, but I know lots of the western guys go to Walker Valley, Evans creek, Elbe Hills, and Tahuya, however I do not know much about them.

This is a good site to get maps, directions and info on trails though, just click on the stars.

206dawgfan I am a newb as well. I just picked up a 93 YJ and want to take it out. Let me know what works for you. I might be able to make it happen this Saturday early morning if you want. Heard there some good spots in Enumclaw.
