|yj-genral||oh and you will need to regear that beast to help out on the trail and the road. its doable without it but its like driving with street tires or mud tires off road... there is a big difference. and the regearing will allow you to get back to stock performance therefore letting you tow what you want again.|

also another good point is that a lift of 3-4" or more of lift the lift manufactures recommend new driveshafts but its not a requirement. its more common with the previous jeeps with ujoint driveshafts, the newer CV joint driveshafts dont have as much of an issue but i would still recommend new ones with 4" of lift because of 3 reasons
1) rubbage with the stocker and the boot
2) alot of the slip is gone on droop because its almost fully extended sitting still
3) angles/strength, new angles are harsher on the joints (cardian joints helps this) aftermarket shafts are smaller in diameter and much much stronger.

|GREEN-MACHINE||anything more than 3 inches and then you talking drive shafts and pinion angles. i have the teraflex 3 inch and could not be happier it also has sway bar disconnect. 35 inch tires will fit just fine. as far as gearing use this link.Gear Calculator|

|daggo66||It is a well known and documented fact that the CV boot will rub and tear with a 4" or greater lift. It is much more likely with that lift and an automatic transmission on a 2 dr.|

|JeepJK10||I didn't think I would hve any problems with that the driveshaft but I'm no expert. Anyway I am still wandering about towing the Seadoos right now it alittle slugish and I'm affraid if I go up in tire size I will be stuck going back and forth between 4th and 5th gears.|

|Droelle||Oh. Well I'm not really into crawling a whole lot. I live in east Texas. Lol all we have is mudd. The flexing part might make you have to have longer drive shafts. But if you read up at the top of the the jk forum first page where all the different threads are they have the lift kit reviews. And from all the one that I have read none of them really had a driveline issue or mods with a 4" lift. Just some longer brake lines. I plan to go with a 3.5" or a 4" lift. As far as me doing any driveshaft mods... not unless I have to. Second I've never heard of 35's fitting under a 2.5" lift? Not saying its not true just never heard of it.|

You are going to have driveshaft issues with a 2 door and a 4" lift, especially if it's an automatic. You can run 35's with a 2.5" lift. Also if you want flex, you should be looking at sway bar discconnects.
If you are going with 4" be prepared to spend some $ up front to do it the right way or you will be sorry down the road.

|Droelle||From what I was told from other forums gearing will help out alot. If your running a automatic 4.88 gears with 35's. If its a standard 4.10 gears running 35's. I to own a sport. Its a standard and I'm also in the process of trying to figure all this out.|

|JeepJK10||That's a good point. My brother and I are going to start doing some jamborees. I am aslo going with a 4in lift but I don't want the tires to look small but I also want some flex.|

I have a 2010 jk sport I would like to run 35's but I know that my gearing won't let me tow my two Seadoos (about 2000lbs on the trailer) with that tire size. I like to do some trail riding also!! What would anyone suggest for my situation.
