|Jerry Bransford||2" taller springs are always a better way to go than with stock height springs and 2" coil spacers on top. At 200K miles, your OE springs might be getting a bit tired so it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the with the shocks. I'm definitely no fan of ProComp's suspension lift kits but their springs are actually very good quality and they can sell you just the 2" taller springs by themselves.|

|Geoff@Bestop||It's your money, but I'd be really tempted to get all new springs. 200k is a lot of bumps and bounces. At that point you're really into classic car territory, and time to rebuild the whole suspension. At this point, you've probably got enough sag that it's noticeable in ride quality and appearance.|

|jwm1986||Just depends on if it's sagging or not. Or if any of them are splitting or damaged in some other way. If not, you are fine to keep them.|

|yjkid95||Id just get some oem rubicon coils and some nice shocks if its on pavement most of the time. But thats just me.|

97 TJ with 2 inch spacer lift...Need coils?
97 TJ that already has 2 inch spacer lift however it needs shocks bad. the jeep has almost 200,000 miles on the original coil springs. I was thinking all new lift with new coils only because springs have so many miles...are new coil springs needed, or can we get away with just new shocks? this jeep is on the pavement 99.9% of the time since I have the YJ also!
