85fiero Yes, it's longer because of the shorter engine. On the 2.4's, there is no long shroud because that engine doesn't use a fan driven by the egine, it uses an electric fan that sits right against the radiator.

JeepCrawler98 The high-rise fan shroud adds another 15HP; much like a high rise manifold on a carb set up.... what, I swear it's true

Jerry Bransford It's bigger than the 4.0L engine's is that you've probably seen more pictures of because the 2.5L engine is a lot shorter and the shroud has to be made longer so it reaches the fan.

khenderson it's the same size as all the shrouds for the 4 cyl engines. why they maade it that big, i don't know, but mine's the same size.

fan shroud question

I have a fan shroud (I think thats what they call the big plastic piece right behind the radiator like the one pictured here. Why is it bigger than a lot of ones I see....... 4 cyl engine?
