jeepmedic4 I like the look so far. I agree with the last comment about the bumper. But instead of buying one I would modify that one. If it was me here is what I would do: cut off all the smaller diameter round tubing but I would leave the main grill protection that is over the winch mount plate area. Then I would take and shorten each end of the tube bumper about 1"-2". I think that would look pretty sharp and you wouldn't be out anything but some time to do some cutting and grinding and a few more rattle cans of paint to clean it back up. But that's just me. Again, good job.

s3nt3nc3d Skimming this so no comment on the stories...will have to check them out later if I remember...lol

TJTheo, Jeep looks great...except every time I focus on the bumper my brains goes, 'WTF???'

I think even a basic D-ring bumper (cheap ones run bout $125) would really set your Jeep out better...or if you planned on getting a winch, one with a winch/grill guard would look great too. The current one is just so complicated it confuses people...

Don't mean any offense...just my honest opinion. Aside from that, it's looking GREAT!

98-4Banger hahaha nothing like a bit of property damage best was once i was at school and my friend had to stay for rugby practise, i couldnt back was in to much pain. but as a lil joke i used a strap i had in the back, atached it to his hitch he had(ugly ass corola with a hitch ) and i pulled his car from out school parking lot, to the the middle of the street about half a mile from school, not to busy of a street i didnt want him to get towed, he had his parking brake on -_- so was just scretching the whole was kinda annoying, but after when he got back, i said iwas ganna wait for him as i did, so he gets back, and he just looks with his keys in his hand a straight face like WTF HAPPENED TO MY CAR, he turned his head and sees it down the street, a car was honking i strted crying from lughingg he ran as fast as he could, was quite funny!!!

Damage to his car, left tire blew, dented rim, suspension ruined, side fender(isnt a side fender) hood looks like a roof, left lights shattered, Baterry-ecu, engine mount frame, ruined completly, hes mirror about to get run over by a truck, and shattered windshield, door hinges bent beyound repir door dented in the guy had to get out, from the passenger side after he spun the right after hitting my jeep.. im telling you it was sick! i actualy got pissed at the guy(in my head laughing) the police came, and fire truck, cut all his wire, and plugged them(gas, oil, and what not)
What an amazing day

thing that was wierd, was reversing on the highway to get back to the crash because he spun and stopped, but i was still steamming on.. my jeep hopped (probly ran up his tire for a second(was a slight curved part of highway) im sure if it was straight i would of gotten it worse
That is AWESOME!!!!!!!! The best is I got road rage in the line to use the banks atm so I drove over the curb and took out a big old bush. Probably wasn't the smartest thing to do.

yjkid95 Its tough to get the good stuff for the jeep man. I have my insurance coming up 600 beans out of my pocket, and my tires are almost shot so i need to get some new tires another 600 out of my pocket, then i have to get brakes done, and then i can get the rest of the stuff for the swap.

yjkid95 I havent swapped it yet I need to get a few more parts. The sad part is theyre the most expensive parts and again just out of highschool. I need the adapting kit to hook up my t-case to the transmission, I need the radiator, and after its in ill need to get driveshafts made.
09-18-2010 06:02 PM
98-4Banger you lucky B ! still worth the tlking haha did you swap it yet?
09-18-2010 05:57 PM
yjkid95 I'm out 400 beans for both of them. 80,000 on them both, runs, and shifts perfectly. I had to do a lot of talking to get him down to that though.

Look for an older bike that needs a little fixing. Thats what I did with mine. All the aluminum had corrosion on it. It sat outside under a tarp for 2 years and the owner just passed away. I bought it from his wife for 200 bucks, rebuilt the carbs, polished up the aluminum got rid of the ugly farrings and fenders its turning out to be a nice bike and i havent spent over 200 bucks yet on fixing it up. 1980 yamaha xs850 triple.

Did you even prime it or just scuff up the surface cleaned it up nice and sprayed? And I don't need to paint the flares. I'm saving up for some modern classic enterprise flatty fenders and taking the rear flares off. No tire coverage law in New York.
