Yes, though watch them like a hawk as they test them. I suspect some less-than-scrupulous auto parts store guys fake some test results to get additional sales.

Wakefield4x4 I think the reason it went dead was because i hooked up the power wire for the switch to the battery because i didnt want to hook it to the headlights. So I had the power wire for the relay and switch hooked to the battery. Idk though.

Wakefield4x4 Took it up to advance and got it replace. I didnt know a dead cell could cause all the electrical stuff to go haywire.

HyperBuzzin Did you have the battery disconnected while wiring up the new lights?

Fweaky I'm not much on the Tesla stuff but start like wasurfer86 said and check and cleaning the main ground.

wasurfer86 did you wire the lights directly off the battery or did you splice them in somewhere else? did you get the battery tested? did you try cleaning the battery up? just the slightest amount of corrosion on the posts can cause problems. did you trace the wiring from the battery to the starter and alternator? maybe it came loose at the starter. when you tried to turn it over did you get any kind of response from the motor? sounds like the battery to me but it could be the ignition switch.

problems with battery maybe?

So today I was installing my off road lights and when I finished, I turned on the car and it made some weird noise. So i unplug all the llight wiring i did and went to start it up and nothing. So I got some jumper cables, cranked up my "donor car" and let it sit for about 15 minutes and tried to start it up...still nothing. I finally got it started by pressing on the gas as i turned the key. It idled good but the dome/headlights/every light kinda flickered and when i turn on the a/c everything dims then goes back to flickering. Let it run for another 30 mins and shut it off and turned it back on but nothing. but i can turn the key to on and turn on the head lights and the guage needles kinda flick back and forth once. Volt guage in cluster was moving between 114 and the dot after 14. Any ideas?
