|phillipsgt94||i agree with uplifted.. i rebuiltd my rear thinking it was way cheaper than going with a ford 8.8.. turns out it would of costed close to the same.|

|uplifted||Just my opinion but if you don't have the diff yet and were willing to go through replacing the spring and shocks mounts to make the 8 1/4 work then just upgrade to the Ford 8.8... There a dime a dozen, same amount of work, include disc brakes and available in the 3.55 ratio you need..|

I have a 1991 YJ with the in- line 6 & auto tranny. The rear went some time ago & I've been told I can use a Chrysler 8-1/4 rear with the same gear ratio which is 3.55. The rear I have available is from a 1995 Cherokee. I also hear that the spring & shock mounts need to be replaced to make it work.
