whiteyj The local ACE had a decent selection though no black. So we'll do a little touch up one of these days.

Thanks for the input.

whiteyj I was being lazy and hadn't gone to look at the local Ace or other spots yet. I bought a Warn rock crawler bumper, M8000 winch, mounting kit and their grill guard. By the time you stack everything up there's 1-1/4" of steel that their 1-1/2" or 1-3/4" bolts have to go through. This doesn't leave much for attaching the whole mess to the frame. Stock bolts extend 1" into the frame.

So I'm looking for the black to match the new bumper and everything. Guess if I can find grade 8's but not in black I can always paint them up.

daddyjeep Is the black oxide coating the part you can't find? I don't think I have ever seen those, although I have never looked for them either. It would be nice to have black bolts for bumpers and stuff. If the black is what you need, you should be able to find a kit to apply your own black oxide. Let us know what you find.

1BLKJP Do you have any Ace Hardware stores in your area. Around here they carry grade 8 stuff.

Or here's a site for a local company that a lot of us use for our fasteners. Fasteners for Almost Everything! Copper State Bolt and Nut Co.

Grade 8 Bolts

Looking for an on-line (if possible) source for grade 8 hardware in black oxide. 1/2-13 x 2-1/2" and 1/2-13 x 2-1/4 bolts and some nuts. Otherwise where has anyone been finding hardware?

Thanks!
