|BEHR2010||I would weld it if possible if it's a direct fit muffler it should just bolt up though if you can get your old muffler off without hacking up pipe.BTW your 4.2 is an inline 6 not a v6. Not trying to be an arse just letting you know.|

Flowmaster Super 44 muffler
I just received my Super 44 Flowmaster muffler for my 87 4.2l v6 wrangler and i was wondering by looking at the new muffler if it needs to be welded or can i just replace it with what ever was holding the old muffler in place. The box just came with the new muffler and some stickers and some warranty papers.
The new muffler dimensions are center inlet 2.5 and offset outlet 2.5. Flowmaster says this muffler is suppose to fit my jeep.
