priell3 I had that back when my 2007 was new. It happened at the A pillars also.

Just excess adhesive that melts from the heat. It stops after a while.

repoman100 I had the exact same goo when I removed my hardtop, seemed like the adhesive has melted by the heat of the sun... I simply ignored it, had to put the hardtop back on for winter here and drove in heavy rain and no leaks yet... I'm curious to see other people's response on this

bwyman74 Any ideas what it is? Yeah I'm guessing its the stuff that adheres the gaskets in place on the top. I'm sure goo-be-gone or simply green will take it right off.

Black Goo on B Pillars

When I removed my JKU hard top yesterday, there was some black goo on the top of the b pillars where the rubber gaskets are (where the front pieces meet the rear piece). Adhesive, tar-like substance. Any ideas?
