hmmm, while I was installing my rock sliders today I decided to take a look at this issue, and sure enough my tires are rubbing on the sleeves. Worst part is the right side was actually touching the line as it had come loose and got in between tire and sleeve

Tires don't appear to be bulging. At least not in any major way. This only occurs when turned full lock left.

|Douglas Wray||Is it just just my perception or do the side walls on the pictured tires appear to be bulging out against the brake line? Does he have the tire aired down causing the tire to rub? If that is the case then it would not be the manufactures responsibility to fix... Those are after market tires. Just get spacers on the tires or add more air if need...|

I wonder if the OP (or others) found the resolution to this. I happened to be checking under the Jeep as part of routine maintenance and noticed what I thought was rubbing in this location, but couldn't be sure.
Subsequent checks seem to reveal that, under hard left tuns, my driver's front tire makes contact with the foam/rubber collar which is zip-tied to the brake line.
I've got stock-sized tires (255/75R17 Firestone Destination AT) and no suspension modifications.
Not sure if it's related, but I've also noticed a steering wheel wobble under sharp turns... similar to when turning in 4WD, but not nearly as severe. I'm thinking a u-joint or ball joint, but I'm not sure. Either way, I'm calling a garage this week to have both issues looked into, but I'd love to know if there is a known cause and/or solution to the brake line rubbing.

|Salo||Same issue here...when I got oil change, I figured this was the k13 recall because it does not look normal..after having recall done at dealership, found out this is different non recall problem...BS!!!!!! Oh and during k13 fix, service guy said that my "ball joints have a lot of play on them"...I almost smacked him|

|Steel02001||To note I believe the $100 deductable you only have to pay once. I also have an extended service contract and was told that I would only have to pay the deductable once and from there one anything covered would be taken care of at no additional cost. I realize you dont want to spend the $100 but I would bet you are going to have too sooner or later, might as well get it out of the way. I've already paid mine.|

I believe that your front axle is not ok.
A friend of mine had a similar problem under warranty and after checking his front dana with a third party geometry expert it was revealed that his front axle had on the right end a deformation from its birth so to say. Dealer replaced its front axle entirely amd since then no rubber amy more.

|dmevoli||If it was just my wrangler I would agree with you but I have checked 2 other 4 door sahara wranglers and they both have the same problem. Which is why I posted it here so that people will check their brake lines.|

|daggo66||OK, now that I have a better understanding I re-read your original post. It is a warranty type issue. Since your regular warranty is up and you have an extended warranty it will be covered by that with your $100 deductible. They shouldn't have to fix it for free. It is not a design defect that is affecting all Wranglers, it's just something wrong with yours.|

|ESP||Thanks for sharing this. I'll look at mine tomorrow morning but as of the time I bought it, the dealer ran the VIN number on my Jeep and said that mine was not listed in the recall so I haven't looked into it any further. Got me thinking...|

|dmevoli||I ordered the jeep brand new and have not altered anything including the tires. My tires are the original optional ones that came with the jeep. P255/70r18|

|dmevoli||The current recall is for the fender lining rubbing through the brake line, and that is not my problem. My tire is rubbing through my brake line.|

|daggo66||There is a recall out for exactly that issue. All you need to do is trim the inner plastic fender well.|
