Another Q about re-gearing
Its an Auto right now -- i'm seriously considering swapping it to a Manual when its no longer the daily driver... would re-gearing at the same time make the most sense?

Only regear after you get the tire size that you plan on keeping( it's expensive and you don't want to redo it)
Maintenance is fairly standard.
Aftermarket exhausts primary use is to make more noise. Don't expect any real gains and you won't be disappointed.

Maintenance/ Mod Newb
So I've had my 04' Wrangler X for three years now, haven't done any hard core off-roading, just daily driving. I've kept up with scheduled maintenance and the like, but recently i've started thinking there may be more I could do to keep it lasting longer, run smoother, etc. I'm hoping to keep this thing for forever and turn it into a real toy when I can afford something else to take its place as the daily driver.
I'm a college student and dont have ALOT of spare cash, but I can afford to make true investments in it.
What would you guys recommend?
From what i've read on here so far it seems to me that chipping and aftermarket intakes are a waste of money... but exhaust and re-gearing (It had oversized tires already installed when I bought it, honestly not sure if its been re-geared) may be worth it.
Also any special thing you guys do to maintain your Jeep that's not your "textbook" maintenance?
