IdahoIslander Gotta say, when I wave at a Jeep and get ignored, its a disapointment. (unless I forgot that I was driving the burb, and waved like I was in my Jeep- did that a few times)
There are just some folks that don't connect with the Jeep thing, and its a shame when they're driving one.

pokey ^ don't underestimate them. Remember, it's more the driver than what's on the jeep. O.K., I have slightly larger than stock tires.

bobjenkins Herein AZ I rarely see a stock TJ and never a stock YJ. its strange when I see a tj rolling with those small tires lol

pokey I think it's ironic that a lot of Jeepers won't give stock jeeps the time of day (yes, even on this forum many admit they don't pay attention to stock jeeps), yet many of us stockers have taken our jeeps places jacked up posers wouldn't dare go. If they go at all.

Weird multi-Jeep lunch

I go to the post office at lunch, and as I'm coming back out there's a guy standing there taking pics of my LJ with a camera. I'm thinking "Geez I hope the ex didn't hire this guy!". But, he sees me looking at him and strikes up a conversation "Is that longer than a standard Jeep" "Yes, it's an Unlimited" "Didn't know you could still get that in a 2 door" "You can't. It's a 2004"...etc. Nice enough guy. As we're talking, a high-lifted JK Unlimited (black, like mine) pulls up and parks right next to me. I was explaining the body styles had changed, so I pointed out the different front end so camera guy would understand. He commented that he liked mine better (smart guy ).

Ok, I go to get in my jeep, and I speak to the JK driver now that he's out of his Jeep..."Hey, how's it going?". Guy won't even look at me, and walks in with this grin on his face like he's showing me or something. His JK is all black, at least a 4" lift (don't know much about JK lifts, maybe more), huge MT/R's, black multispoke rims with a chrome bead. Sad part is, I've seen him around town and he never waves. You can look at his Jeep and just tell that he's got a garage and won't drive it on rainy days. So, basically, I get in the car thinking "bite me, poser". I mean, yes mine's stock and still has the nerfs that the OP put on it. But, it has been to URE once (on crap tires), it has sought out and found many a mud hole, and has driven the beach. NWIH his Hummer wannabe JK has done anything but fetch groceries.

I head back to the office. On my way, I see a white JK UL headed my way...yep, he waves. Run across a great looking red CJ-5 loaded up on a multi-car trailer (out of state plates, only one on the trailer) that obviously is someones DD as it's in great shape. Kid driving the truck waves. Then see a white TJ just before I get back to work...yep, he waves.

Just goes to prove...When it comes to the Jeep wave, it's not always the Jeep that's being driven, it's the person driving the Jeep.
