knickick Hi johnnrhonda7508. Nice clutchmaster cylinder. But I think you should clean it everyday. There is a dust on it. If you don't want to be broke easily just clean it everyday.

uplifted Hmmm, Nothing that i can remember coming across but it does share smiliarities with a standard 3/4 Girling master which a standard Clutch master for say a 91 YJ with a ax-15 has.. I know because i went through it when i converted to a retrofit system for my V8 swap....... If you want to be absolutely positive just pull the master, remove the piston and measure the inner bore..Should be a 3/4.. If you can take the stock Jeep master route and need a fitting to adapt your hydraulic line to (which looks threaded) use this adapter. Scroll to the bottom of this link to see the adapter for stock YJ/TJ master o-ring to threaded line.

uplifted Post up a pic of it, would make it alot easier to identify... In a perfect world the master cylinder piston/bore size should match the slave cylinders piston/bore size so it stays a 1 to 1 ratio.. Just using any master may ended up costing you in the long run...

NV 3550 in 87 Wrangler

I need help identifying the clutch master cylinder I have in my wrangler. It has the NV 3550 conversion, but does not have the stock clutch master cylinder. The name on the side of the master cylinder says Girling. I looked all over the net but I have been unable to find out where this one came from.

My bottom line is I need to replace the clutch master cylinder. Will a master cylinder from a 91 Wrangler work? Or should I buy a new OEM replacement. Will the OEM replacement be sufficent for the external slave cylinder?

Any help is much appreciated.
