|Tarby||I remember when the '07 Wrangler just came out. The body shop I work part time at is manned by guys that all used to work at Chrysler (They all quit when new ownership of the dealership came in...bad story). We had 7 brand new wranglers brought to us from the local dealership to check for leaks when they arrived from factory with water, they were all hardtops and just purchased/ordered by individual consumers. We had em for a day and blasted them with water and marked every spot on the tops that leaked, they were sent back to Chrysler, and that was the last time I had any dealings with the hardtopped JK in person. They were going back for repair that week. Never had any bad reports about the soft top.|

Easy to put back. Keeping my carpet out. Found a pool of water in both the drivers side / passenger side. Bought 2 rubber matts from wallmart and installed plastic anchors to hold the matts from sliding around. You can also remove the plastic door sills for easier access.

|ESP||Is removing all of your interior carpet a pretty easy job? Anyone elaborate?|

I've had some minor leaks from my freedom panels along the side windows. I removed the freedom panels for the first time last weekend and since putting them back the problem is solved on the drivers side. I'm still getting leaks on the passenger side. I think the main cause is the foam padding on the freedom top panels. The foam is exposed to the outside of the vehicle and therefore gets wet. However, it also extend to the inside of the vehicle. Since the foam is porous like a sponge, once it gets wet, it acts like a conduit taking water from outside the vehicle and putting it right inside. I'm thinking of removing them and replacing them with hard rubber.

|InfernoGirl||Make sure you have it seated correctly. And that the seals are lubed. Dry seals and not sitting right will make anything leak, and you will feel like a tool taking it back to the dealer and fussing if it is operator defect... (how do I know this? )|

Noticed the same thing this past weekend after all the rain. While cleaning out my 2010 Jeep, I noticed after removing the matts, the carpet was soaked. Removed the carpet, pulled the pluggs. DONE!!!. Not putting the carpet back, like many members did on this forum. Glad I caught this issue early.
Do not feel bad. My friend bought a brand new Superduty Truck 2010, and had a windshield leak. Water damaged his GEM module " electronic brains" and dealer is trying to say it is his fault ....WTF ?????
Auto companies today just do care about quality anymore,, japenese or American.

|My02Jeep||Yeah, when I bought mine new, I asked about heat & leaks the day I picked her up. Answer was, ANY issue, bring it back. Even off-roading troubles, to a point.|

|Bladerunner32262||I would think since she's new, it would be a warranty job. Don't take no for an answer!|

Leak from Rain
This is my first post, please bear with me.
I have a 2010 wrangler unlimited sport. I just put my freedom top back on and found that it was leaking water from the center seal (passenger side) where the 2 front tops meet the rear top. Also, water is leaking in from the top passenger side door towards the windshield. The water leaks right down next to the speaker. Any ideas? Is this a dealer repair?
